Gründer der Jim Beam Distillery war der deutschstämmige Johannes Jakob Böhm, der seinen Namen später in Jacob Beam änderte. Der von ihm hergestellte Whiskey wurde als Bourbon bekannt, benannt nach demBourbon County in Kentucky. Der Urenkel des Gründers, Colonel James B. Beam baute nach der Prohibition das Unternehmen im Jahr 1933 nahe seiner Heimatstadt in Clermont wieder auf. Weitere Firmenchefs waren T. Jeremiah Beam und sein Sohn James B. Beam Booker Noe. Der Sohn von Booker Noe, Fred Noe setzt die Tradition der Familie fort und leitet heute Jim Beam.

Aroma: Süß und fruchtig mit leichter Getreidenote, Eiche und einem Hauch Gewürz.
