Die Marke Dewar's wurde bereits 1846 von John Dewar, Sr. gegründet. Unter der Leitung seiner beiden Söhne expandierte die Marke bis 1896 zu einem globalen Marktführer und fing an, mehrere Auszeichnungen zu gewinnen - beispielweise Gold auf der Weltausstellung in St. Louis im Jahr 1904. Bekannt wurde die Marke zunächst in Amerika. Heute weltweit verfügbar und beliebt.

Dewar's Caribbean Smooth 8 Jahre reifte zuerst in Eichenholzfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Rumfässern. Abgefüllt mit milden 40 % vol. Alkohol.

 

Aroma: Getreidebetont mit einem Mix aus Herbe und Süße, Anklänge von Limetten und Melasse.

Geschmack: Süß mit Karamell, Getreide und Muskat, fruchtig mit Zitronen und einem Hauch Rum.
