Die Brennerei Glen Garioch wurde bereits im Jahr 1797 errichtet und ist somit eine der ältesten schottischen Destillerien. Die Brennerei hat eine ereignisreiche Vergangenheit, die zwei Jahrhunderte des Wandels und der Entwicklung überdauert hat - inklusive Schließungen und Verkäufen der Brennerei. Glen Garioch war eine der ersten Destillerien in Schottland, die auf Erdgas umstellten. Die Abwärme wird hierbei in Tomaten-Gewächshäuser geleitet. 

Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern. Abgefüllt mit kräftigen 48 vol. % Alkohol, nicht kältefiltriert.

 

Aroma: Mix aus Süße, Gewürzen und herbem Getreide, fruchtbetont mit etwas Eiche.

Geschmack: Süß-säuerlich mit Grapefruit und Birnenschale, malzig, Honig und etwas Ingwer.
