Die Lochlea Distillery stellt seit dem Jahr 2018 in den schottischen Lowlands Single Malt Whisky her. Die für die Produktion verwendete Gerste wird auf eigenen Feldern angebaut und geerntet. Bereits der schottische Nationaldichter Robert Burns lebte von 1777 bis 1784 auf dem Anwesen und unterstütze die Familie beim Tagesgeschäft. Distillery Manager von Lochlea ist John Campbell, den man von Laphroaig abwarb.

Lochlea Harvest Edition reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon-, Sherry und Portweinfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 % vol. Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

 

Aroma: Helle Obstnoten mit malzigen Tönen, einem zarten Mix aus Gewürzen und Süße, leicht trocken.

Geschmack: Fruchtig mit Birnenkompott und Anklängen von Erdbeeren, floral mit Veilchen und Stroh.
