Als "Clonakilty" werden irische Whiskeys aus der gleichnamigen Destillerie, die im Süden Irlands liegt abgefüllt. Die Familie Scully bewirtschaftet in 8. Generation Gerstenfelder am Fuße des Galley Head-Leuchtturms. Die Lagerhäuser, die direkt an der schroffen Küste liegen, sowie das dort herrschende Klima verleihen dem Whiskey einen besonderen Charakter.

Clonakilty Port Cask reifte für nicht definierte Zeit zuerst in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Portweinfässern. Abgefüllt mit 43,6 % vol. Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

 

Aroma: Fruchtbetont und süß, cremig mit zarter Würzigkeit und einem Hauch Eiche, getreidig.

Geschmack: Pfirsiche und Orangenschale, pfeffrig mit unterschwelliger Süße, trockenes Getreide.
