Mitte des 19. Jahrhundert war der würzige Whisky aus den schottischen Highlands vielen Genießern zu intensiv. Durch die Erfindung der kontinuierlichen Destillation eröffnete sich die Möglichkeit, Whiskys verschiedener Typen miteinander zu vermählen, um so einen milderen Whisky zu schaffen. Auch die Brennerei Ben Nevis besaß zeitweise eine eigene Coffey Still. Heute allerdings produziert die Destillerie ausschließlich Malt Whisky auf Pot Stills.

Nevis Dew Blue Label ist ein altersloser Vertreter der Blended Scotch Whiskys, abgefüllt mit milden 40 vol. % Alkohol.

 

Aroma: Milde Kombination aus süßer Vanille und würziger Nelke, herbes Getreide.

Geschmack: Kernig mit Birnenschale und zarter Süße, würzig mit etwas Eiche.
