Die Brennerei Tomatin wurde 1897 in den schottischen Highlands gegründet und war in den 1970er Jahren mit 23 Brennblasen die größte Whiskydestillerie Schottlands. 1985 wurde die Brennerei an japanische Firmen verkauft, die das Produktionsniveau von Tomatin absenkten. Die Brennerei hat heute eine Vielzahl an verschiedenen Single Malts im Sortiment - mit Torfrauch und ohne, aus den verschiedensten Fässern.

Tomatin 8 Jahre reifte die komplette Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 40 vol. % Alkohol.

 

Aroma: Süße Getreidenoten mit sauren Früchten und Ingwer, trocken-nussig, floral.

Geschmack: Malzzucker und Frühstücksflocken, grüne Äpfel mit leichter Nussigkeit.
