Tomintoul ist eine verhältnismäßig junge Brennerei, die 1964 in der schottischen Speyside gegründet wurde. Dort wird sowohl Single Malt Whisky ohne Rauch produziert, den man unter eigenem Namen abfüllt, als auch rauchigen Whisky. Diesen kennt man allerdings als Old Ballantruan. Die Brennerei gehört dem Unternehmen Angus Dundee Distillers, welches auch die Brennerei Glencadam in den Highlands betreibt.

Tomintoul 14 Jahre reifte die komplette Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Blumige Noten, subtile Süße mit Anklängen von Fenchel und frischem Ingwer, trockene Eiche.

Geschmack: Cremige Süße mit Vanille und Toffee, reife Äpfel und Birnen, trockene Nussigkeit und angenehme Eiche.
